Synex International Inc is a public company trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange since 1987 and with a related history that commenced in 1973.

The two operating divisions of the Synex group are Synex Energy Resources Ltd and Sigma Engineering Ltd.

Synex Energy has operated since 1984, covering the development, ownership and operation of electrical energy plants and related facilities, particularly hydroelectric plants and powerlines.

Sigma Engineering has, since 1973, provided consulting engineering and related management services for the control and use of water, particularly for the planning, design and management of hydroelectric plants and other power generation facilities. These services are for Synex Energy and for other companies developing power generation facilities.
